BR549 and “Poison” land like the kind of country single that sneaks up and steals the whole afternoon. this feels freshly dug up from the jukebox, all swagger and side-eye, with enough bite to sound like a hit before you’ve finished the first spin.
The track snaps with dry barroom guitars, a tight low end, and that lived-in twang BR549 does so well. It feels dusty and sharp at the same time, like the band is playing under neon lights with the amps just a little too loud.
Put it on while you are knocking out a long commute, cleaning the kitchen, or pretending your inbox is not winning. It fits the mood when you want something sturdy, a little mean, and very much alive.
